About me - Louise Blackburn

Hi, my name is Louise Blackburn. I am passionate about singing, music, yoga and community. Being a yoga teacher and also a choir is an absolute dream come true for me and I try to ensure that all of my groups are friendly and fun.

Here is a list of my experiences and qualifications:

  • Musical Director of the thriving Voices Entwined since 2013.

  • Trained with the British Lung Foundation as a singing for breathing leader.

  • Qualified music and workshop leader with Quench Arts.

  • Qualified Arts Award Advisor.

  • Psychology and Sociology Graduate.

  • Teacher at the Howling Wolves Community Choir Festival.

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Social Care

  • Post graduate certificate in Music

  • Studying for MA Music which will be completed in 2020

  • Qualified Hatha Yoga instructor

  • Currently training in Bhakti Yoga

I found yoga around 5 years ago and it came into my life when I needed it most. I loved the way I felt after a class and experienced numerous benefits. I found a natural crossover between yoga and singing and in 2019 qualified as a Hatha Yoga Instructor so I could explore this further. I have been running a regular Yoga and Voice class for over 12 months and it feels like a natural partnership, we stretch, we find strength, we breath and we release our voices. I am excited to work with parents and babies and explore this further in what will be a unique but relaxing class with benefits for everyone involved.
